Your digestive system isn't working properly!

  • Do you want to improve your health?
  • Feel better?
  • Have more energy? More strength?
  • Have less cramping, bloating, constipation, gas, burping, or diarrhea?

The truth is, many people (even healthy vegan eaters) don’t realize they’re having digestive problems. Even if you do have regular, healthy bowel movements, your overall wellness centers on the health of your gut. Due to this undeniable fact, it’s critical you keep your gut in optimal shape at all times.

Symptoms of bad gut health:

  • Heartburn/Acid Reflux
  • Bloating
  •  Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
  • ·Gas (excessive flatulence & belching)
  • Hiccuping
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Nausea
  • Pain in the Rectal Area
  • Stomach Cramps & Pain
  • Vomiting
  • Wet Burps
  • Bad breath
  • Autoimmune conditions

Everyone knows the gut is responsible for digesting food, but did you know it also performs other essential functions? Your gut is also where you actually benefit from all the nutrition you take in. Intestinal flora inside your gut, or “good” bacteria, helps your body detoxify and absorb nutrients. If that bacterium is depleted, a multitude of gut issues can ensue. Your gut even produces most of your melatonin to help you sleep! Plus, other neurotransmitter precursors to things like seratonin, which makes us "feel good.:

The brain influences the digestive tract and vice versa," says Rebekah Gross, MD, a clinical gastroenterologist at NYU Langone Medical Center. In fact, new research has found that our esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon have a big say in how our minds and bodies function and how happy we feel.

Our stressed-out lifestyle may be our stomach's biggest enemy. According to María Gloria Domínguez Bello, PhD, a professor of microbiology at the University of Puerto Rico, society's hectic pace, which leads to our reliance on junk food and overuse of antibiotics, is throwing our internal ecosystem out of whack; she believes that there's a link between our gut bacteria and the rise of food allergies and autoimmune diseases — Crohn's and rheumatoid arthritis among many others — in the industrialized world. "When there is a loss of balance in the different types of intestinal bacteria, they send signals to our immune system to overreact and become inflamed, leading to disease," Domínguez Bello says.

The gut's lining houses an independent network of hundreds of millions of neurons — more than the spinal cord has — called the enteric nervous system. It's so complex and influential that scientists refer to it as "the second brain." In addition to being in charge of the digestive process, your gut lining is the core of your body's immune system. This is how auto immune, or, low immune function can start. 80% of your immune system is located in your digestive system!!!

New research indicates that your weight, health, mood, and wellbeing depends on what is going on with your gut/digestive system. Researchers gave specialized strains of these good bacteria could also alleviate mood and anxiety disorders. When University of Toronto researchers gave chronic fatigue syndrome sufferers three daily doses of aLactobacillus strain for two months, it boosted their levels of good bacteria. "At the same time, we reduced their anxiety," says lead researcher A. Venket Rao, PhD. When the patients stopped taking the probiotic, their symptoms reverted as well, he says. Other research with mice (and now humans) has shown that when overweight mice are given good bacteria from healthy mice, they got healthier and lost weight. When healthy mice were given bad bacteria from the overweight mice, they gained weight!

So what causes digestive system issues???

  • Toxic food triggers
  • Chemicals, preservatives and conservatives in food
  • Sugary, processed foods
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Gluten
  • Inflammation
  • Antibiotics and medications like birth control or anti-inflammatory drugs
  • Opportunistic organisms (yeast, fungus, parasites)
  • Alcohol
  • Stress
  • Chlorinated drinking and shower water
  • Lack of sleep
