A truly charismatic and impactful leader listens to people and exhibits authenticity, trustworthiness, and will attract like-minded people to his or her cause. People want to work for amazing leaders who they love. And leaders who are not afraid to stand up and speak out, and just go against the grain to defend them to other people in life in organizations, etc. People want to work for that leader, because they like him or her of course, and more importantly, they trust the leader to have their back and want that leader to show them the way. A leader should be someone who walks the talk. When they say something, and then they don’t do it or they will do it and then say something that they are going to do, and they do it, this is a problem. And this makes them lose all credibility, trust and rapport and inspiration from the team. So listen to people and be there for them. And this creates the biggest trust and rapport.
A leader should connect with people and ask people how they can help them, or how they can serve them what they need, or what the people are challenged with. And really listen and dig deeper. There is a couple of tools for that. One of which is the seven levels deeper, it is just asking why or what is important about that seven times. And then there are five why’s but asking WHY can be aggressive sometimes, or it can be seen as an interrogation. So leaders can use how versus why. Because it seems a lot less aggressive. And it can get them further dropping the shields and getting even deeper. A leader should stand up for the people, whoever they are leading or inspiring and then help them win. And make sure people know when they are doing something good and when they are winning. And when they have done something and getting their recognition.
A leader should not bother about what other people are saying. Because people will always talk about whatever you do. So if you’re up to something, and people always whine and complain about this anyway, so you might as well be doing what you want and be a charismatic leader. And be courageous and look at the people. A true leader should be open and vulnerable because vulnerability has its power and that is how you can connect with people. If you’re way up there and someone is way down somewhere, there’s no way you can connect with them. So always be vulnerable and open. Because it takes courage and strength to be vulnerable. Body language speaks a lot, have open body language versus closed off or closed down body language. Lead yourself first and lead yourself the best. So you keep on working yourself and people are going to follow you because you can be up to amazing things. And people are going to say how you’re doing that, how you’re able to do that, or how did you get there, I want to get that to etc. And do scary things and just take action. Because 95 percentage of people don’t do that. You may fail or screw up or have some hardships too. However, when you keep going past the hardships, people will notice that and it will instantly gain you credibility, authority, trust rapport, and people will love you for who you are. So just take action and do the doing and people will follow you because most people don’t face their fears. They don’t take action and don’t go after what they really want in life. Instead they do a tip-toe approach. So be confident and do everything and achieve what you want in your life.
You should avoid worrying about being different or quirky, because the best people in the world are quirky or different. So be open, be different and find out what your flavor is, what is your secret sauce, what makes you so special and valuable. And then make sure that everyone knows and everyone sees your message. Go lead yourself first even if you are leading no one else. And if you’re leading others, lead yourself first and take responsibility for what you want out there in the world. It doesn’t mean you have to do it all. That’s why there are leaders and people, teams who support us. Avoid negativity. Be with it and learn from it. Because there is no such thing as failure anyways, it’s only feedback growth and learning.
